I'm not sure, but I think due to further restrictions from Youtube, neither Potplayer nor ByClick works now. I can no longer record videos.

ame, is potplayer working for you?

oh, i didn't notice this but i replied Liz by a pm.
P-player is working for me. i'm still using the ancient-old version which allows me to record endlessly.
version:
210729(1.7.21526)

(i saw later that you had also posted something in the Durbe-topic and then deleted it. i removed the post because i guessed that it was about this same thing. i hope that was ok?)

thank you, ame and Biker! :2thumbsup:
Potplayer works again. ByClick still doesn't. I am in contact with ByClick support. I hope they find a solution. It is simply more convenient than anything else

EDIT: The problem for me was the latest version. The feature rewind 4 hours back was the reason . That means nothing worked anymore.
old versions without this feature work. But the latest beta version works again the way I need it to.

and ByClick is not able to resolve the problem! Potplayer costs nothing and works. ByClick costs money and they are unable to change anything to make it work :bash:

Apart from that, WIN10 will no longer be supported next year. That means there will be no more updates.

WIN11 does not work on every older PC. But I successfully installed WIN 11 yesterday anyway. To do this, you have to turn off the hardware check by Microsoft.

It works great. :whistling:

It didn't make sense with my laptop because I have the latest WLAN technology. It denied my old laptop access. So I bought a new one. So I've been pretty busy the last few days

I'm not a YouTube partner, so why am I seeing ads on my videos?

Ads may appear on your uploaded videos even if you haven’t monetized the videos yourself....

I have good news. Thanks to Cali Condor! :loveshower:
I thought ads would only appear on my videos if I was a YouTube partner. That's not true!
I decide whether videos are monetized. But that only works if you're a YouTube partner. That's why my videos were shown with ads.

I've been a YouTube partner since yesterday. That was quick; normally it takes at least a month. No matter.

Now I can actually show my videos completely ad-free! What a relief. Without Cali Condor, I wouldn't have known that.

Now I can also make videos from all cameras again. And no one can insult me because I make money from it. I was really angry about it. After all, I don't make money from my channel. I don't intend to, either. It's too much work for me. And I see you need permission from the camera owners. So, everything's fine! :2thumbsup: The bottom line is, YouTube will no longer advertise my videos. Being a YouTube partner is free. How lucky!

The best part is, no one can block my channel anymore. As a partner, I get notified when there are requests.

EDIT:
This is totally crazy! Now I'm a partner, and YouTube is telling me I used copyrighted content on the Spilve Nest!

They recognized a starling! In a video from nature! And a Peter Govan is the owner of this starling song. I'm going crazy!

Starling - Peter Govan Updated March 26, 2025 :rotf:

Content owners: Horus Music
Content type: Audio
Impact on video: Not monetizing

These automatic detections are absolutely unhelpful! My entire channel is now full of suggestions about who is using all the content in my videos. I don't have time for that. I couldn't care less who uses my videos.

I'd have to remove the star's vocals. Then it would be a normal video. Since I don't monetize anyway, it doesn't matter. I can't imagine what happens with Durbe Videos or Black Stork. There are so many different birds singing, how can you remove them?
