16:28 - The male (?) rushes in again, making a lot of noise!
Image

There’s some kind of quarrel going on in the territory.

Image

16:29 - Both parents are scolding, defending the nest.
I can not see the intruder.
Image

The pictures are not very clear. The camera gives us rather blurry images.

Now we can see our black beauties properly. 8-)
Image

This is most probably the female
Image

Three eggs? The nestbowl is deep. Perhaps there are more eggs.

Image

The female steps onto the nearest branch.
The male takes over brooding.

Good night! :offtobed:

April 19.th

Anne, thank you for your great work! :2thumbsup:

I agree with you! I think there are 3 eggs. I locked today again. I saw max 3 eggs. He is bringing endless moss :slap: but it looks so comfy and just beautiful. I think this is a nest of surprises. We'll see how many heads pop up one day.

EDIT: (sorry no I have messed up all..- but here we see the third egg on his right foot )
6:42 ...here we go! but I saw it too late

6:53 huge bunch moss by the female ? pics are needed - plumage is different. It takes time to tell them apart. observe the behavior for a while and then you should know? I've observed very little so far. The zoom was too far away from the nest for me.
Image

S/He ? is singing a lot
Image

and then S/he flew out
Image

I'm almost sure, that the male flew away

She reminds me of Gaja, she also preened Kaupo's head feathers for a long time. In the end he lost feathers :rotf:

Wow, that is very hot indeed, for the time of year.
In the sun, that quickly rises to far over 30°C.
