:bounce: Osprey cam Gross-Schauener Seen, Brandenburg State has 1st hatch.
On the left under the hen's beak is the first chick! And on the left in front is the half-shell.

Hello dear sova (I really hope you will return...) :innocent:
Hello everyone!

All the young Osprey fledged and the family is now on the journey to their winter quarters.
It's coming winter and the showmen in the nest have been the 'usual' winter guests. Crows, ravens in all variations (hybrids)...
I still miss the Falcons.

November 13th

There was a previously unseen guest here - a Goshawk.
More correct - 2 of them.

No chicks in the nest - that's how happy and surprising the visit is.

A Goshawk lands, a second approaches and 'flies over' it at lightning speed. At first I thought that the falcon was driving the hawk away but the slow motion shows that it was most likely a second hawk.

I thought the wings didn't fit the hawk but here you can see it:

Nothing else happens. The hawk sits, looks tired... for 2 hours. I also find the resting place rather unusual. Hope everything is okay with him.
Only a flock of crows (energetic and aggressive) causes the hawk to leave the nest.

Goitzsche Wildnis
28.04.2025: Three eggs have been laid, now we have to wait patiently for the first chick to appear. We expect them to hatch in mid-May at the earliest.

18.04.2025: With the third egg the clutch is complete, now we have to wait until the eggs are hatched. This takes about 35-40 days. 15.04.2025: The second egg is in the nest - first discovered at 07:05 by sna- ve, thank you! 14.04.2025: Excited waiting for the second egg - the ospreys have padded the nest so well that it is difficult to discover. Let's see who sees it first.

12.04.2025: The first egg is in the nest!
