Anna trills Andris away and pokes in her nest bowl.
18:46 ff.: Shrill voices can be heard. Has Andris met a goshawk? Long goshawk whistles and calls. Anna is listening and watching.

18:59: Anna trills at Andris, branching at the right. He has just come back from his goshawk encounter.
He leaves and flies away to the left.

June 06

Good day!

09:58: We start with a vole (I think).

First twist of the routine: Anna doesn't swallow it, neither does she fly away with it - she eats it on the nest.

10:05: Anna advances and tells Andris to leave.

Image

10:08: Andris returns with a pine branch for Anna.
11:38: Andris with a vole. This time, Anna swallows it at once.

Image

14:35: Anna sees Andris, begging pose on the nest (indicated wing movement), then she flies over to the obs.trees.Some short calls.-> food delivery there.
14:45: Andris takes care of the eggs.
14:56: Anna returns and branches below the front entry, then jumps onto the nest and tells Andris to leave.
15:10: Prey no.4. Next twist in the routine: the food is deposited in the pantry. Yeah! :D

First, a big thank you to Baiba for the video :thumbs: :loveshower: !

Second: I guess it's pretty clear that Anna knows more than we see. Eating food in pieces, not gulping it down; today, she has declared the pantry open.
You can see egg#1 very often, just like now:

Good day!

It's currently 13:46 your local time, uploading and posting was - and is? - impossible due to DOS-attacks.

04:11: Anna -> obs.trees, return at 04:15.
05:13: There is a dent in the egg.

Image

07:55: Andris deposits prey in the pantry, Anna will eat from it.

Andris covers the eggs while Anna is eating (which is comfy for his ears since Anna won't trill that much.)

Image

Image

08:05: Andris brings a dry, twisted branch.
08:28: Delivery de luxe: Anna may stay on the eggs when Andris hands over the prey.

09:11: Anna -> obs.trees, back at 09:13.

Image

09:18: Andris deposits prey at the entry, it's dark-furred and quite big, and I don't know yet whether this is a rat or the first kurmis, uh: mole of the season.

Image

Anna is glued on the eggs and trills Andris away.

11:48: She is calling really loud now.

Image

11:50: She flies to the obs.trees, calling. Suspected feeding there.
11:55: She returns with fresh spruce.
