Uģis Bergmanis
Olā redzama t.s. "D" stadijas bukte - plašs un neregulāras formas atvērums. Mazuļa šķilšanās ir sagaidāma tuvākajās stundās, domāju, ka šodien / Chick will hatch today!

Uģis Bergmanis/Latvijas valsts meži

Klinšu ērgļu pārim Spilvei un Grīslim izšķīlies ērglēns / Golden eagle pair, Spilve and Grīslis, have a hatched eaglet.
🐣🦅 On May 6, the golden eagles Spilve and Grīslis have a hatched baby eagle. The hatching began at 1:53 p.m., when a wide crack appeared in the egg. A few minutes later, the eaglet had already hatched and the female ate the egg shell.

Watching golden eagle nesting live is a unique opportunity - we invite you to take advantage of it!

Hello Susanne, everyone

I also checked the stream today to find out about the current situation. I was just on point, so to speak.
I've never seen so much brutality. Chick 2 is like being in a frenzy...
It won't let go of the smaller chick.

I've hidden the pictures.

Despite the cruelty, hopefully a strong young golden eagle will be able to carry on its species.
They are beautiful and, unfortunately, very endangered...

To understand without blaming.
GT
Cainism is genetically determined and occurs independently of nutritional status. Its causes have not yet been conclusively clarified. It may be that the second-born is intended by nature as a kind of reproductive reserve for particularly nutritious years, because in rare cases, the aggressive drive of the "Cain" is absent, and both chicks are raised by their parents.

Chick Meldrs is thriving. Even though it has involved sacrifices.
Another step toward the conservation of this majestic bird species. Congratulations to Latvia...I am grateful for the tireless work and dedication.

He also does this chatting with his mother. I call it trilling because I can't really describe it any other way.
I've only heard it from Mona's chicks and Meldrs.

Not in the other goshawk nests.

Meldrs is supposed to be the little one's name.
I haven't found much other than a small variation that means 'gentle strength.' Nice!

Must be female.
Because Meldrs likes to argue. Even with Mom. :2thumbsup:

Laba diena visiem, kam šī ligzda mīļa. :P

GT:
I called U. Bergmanis about the future of this live broadcast.

*Currently, all components /batteries, sensor, microphone,.../ have been procured, and we are waiting for the opportunity to drive into the swamp with a snowmobile to replace everything. For now, the plan is to do the work in the second half of January.

U. Bergmanis, and of course I, send everyone the best wishes for the Old Year and the New Year. Good luck, health, .....!!!
