The plover really does run very fast. But the little stints are just as fast. I'm almost too slow.

Sorry, no pic. I had a broom in my hand, when ...at around 17:15, I heard them. Cranes. CRANES!!! About 350 flew high over our house, calling. They came from the Lech side (I live in Langweid am Lech) and advanced further south. Whoa, goosebumps! This is the high season for crane sightings in Bavaria. Beautiful formation, you could easily count them. And the sound so familiar from observation of Baltic webcams ...
