Re: Estonian WTE Webcam 2017
Thanks a lot for providing this splendid opportunity to follow wild-life live again. Last season was far too exciting and dramatic, so I said, I´m not going to come back, but here I am eagerly waiting for something to happen
Hope we´ll see our couple back..

Today visited nest not Uku, but a WtE about fifth year. So younger as Uku. Still in feathers more dark ones and dark eyes as well. Can't say if male or female, but it was not familiar with camera on nest I suppose. Camera lens are much better hided this season, but still that bird decided better to escape. There is no way to cover lens fully. Local adults should be used to that thing in vicinity, but strangers may act differently.
Thanks for special information, Mutikluti!
We hope into return of eagles, as you may see of our actions there!

thanks Urmas for you comments! i thought that it was too late and dark to see who the eagle was but you was able see a lot anyway.

could you post a picture showing what the eagles or other birds see when they look at the camera? we know that you took pictures with the camera with the Christmas tree twig decorations.Urmas wrote:... Wow! The first curious eagle has visited the site! Wonderful!
This is a great promise for the next weeks.
I was very sad that nothing was done in the nest during the end of the last year and it seemed that Urmas & Co. decided not to intervene here. It can be considered as a right approach in the nature conservation. But I know that the rangers put the artificial nest bases for the eagles in my country (very small population, 6 pairs in the summer, 60 individuals during winter season) and then we all together just cross our fingers...
I am so happy that Urmas and his colleagues have decided to support this place and help the birds to start a new season. I am pretty sure that they will come. And doesnt matter if it will be Anna and Uku, or any other pair.
This camera view and the nest is so catching!

the camera is running. it looks misty, almost like before the repair.
btw: is anyone else making continuous video recording of the stream?
i try to record all the time but sometimes my camera freezes and stops. it then may take a long while before i notice that it has stopped and restart it.

it was a real busy little bee. it worked there for over 8 min!
there are some crested tits, too. they make a lot of voices.
the camera has worked for more than 3 and half hours without breaks today.

http://193.40.124.24/2017-merikotkas/
thank you, Urmas and Urmas!
so far there is only a video of yesterday's eagle visit. now that i watched it again i saw rather clearly that it was not Uku. this eagle's feathers were much darker than Uku's feathers. he was very blond.
