Kaupo settled down on storklets and the egg. He hasn't fed.
I don't know if we see the fifth storklet already today. I haven't seen a bigger crack or a hole.

17:46 Kaupo is going to feed the storklets.
At first I saw only this bigger fish, Kaupo has regurgitated. The fish he took back quite quickly, but there must have been also smaller pieces which the storklets could eat.
All four have been eager to eat something.

17:47 Still feeding. They are so cute.
I could not see properly if the fourth storklet also has got something. As one can see in the pics, it is always a little behind the others.
17:50 After feeding. Four cute little bobbleheads.
I have to go now.

Michi, thank you for the very nice pictures and interesting comments
I will do two feeding videos tomorrow. I like to see, which food they eat. The second feeding.. I think there were long worms or baby snakes?
The fifth egg is now mostly hidden under the chicks
20:19 Gaja has arrived. Kaupo left the nest. Gaja has feed the chicks
20:30 She stands up again and has turned the egg. The egg is talking..

I guess, tomorrow morning we will see storklet No. 5.
20:59 It is already a quite big crack. The storklet will most likely break the egg shell in the coming night or early morning hours. However I think, also storklets in a hatching process will sleep at night.
Enlargement of both pics
A big crack. It looks like an eye is watching you.

22:02 Isn’t it cute, how all the babies sleep around the egg?
Gaja got up to dig the nest bowl, all storklets woke up. But she has taken not much time for digging; a minute later she settled down again.

22:26 Gaja got up again to preen herself for a while.
22:28 Here she tried to catch a butterfly or a moth which obviously has sitten on the nest edge. I saw it then flapping around a bit. But it was too dark to see, if Gaja has captured it.
22:30 and 22:34 I have heard egg talk!

Congratulation to Latvia and already 4 storklets.
Today maybe the 5th is coming out.
I wish them all to grow up and get strong storklets - the nest is really big. Hopefully there is food enough for all.
Thanks for reporting and pictures, and the vids.
PS: Unfortunately, the youtube link from page 1 leads me into the void. There is no cam.

6:33 Kaupo comes home
6:34 he starts feeding. A lit of little fishes for the storklets
It was a nice feeding for three of them. The youngest was in a bad position. I think it got only two fish? It fell on it's back I don't like to see it. It reminds me of the hungarian nest.
