9:25 The egg is without any crack or hole!
Can it be that the heat yesterday, the crack has closed again? For me there was too much dehydration. Without moisture, it could not hatch. A good birth control. I'm happy! It is better an egg is lost, than an cute storklet that I could see!!

Not good to see, the rotten egg. But the cuties :innocent:

Hi Liz, thanks for sharing account for support of Maris Strazds (I have sent some contribution).

The peekaboo video is so lovely. Nice to see small "portions" that all four chicks could eat well  . Thanks for all info and photos to you and also to Michi :2thumbsup: ... Pity with the fifth egg  but now it is better because it is unfortunately too late.

:hi: Liz,
TY for all reporting, shots and vids. I am happy, they are 4 cute storklets :loveshower: and it's enough food delivery and all ate well :D, the peekaboo video https://youtu.be/aggJBmiNXp4 is so lovely :2thumbsup:
I hope, this bird of prey was for the first and only time
"It is better an egg is lost, than an cute storklet that I could see!" yes, Liz, it's admittedly

Michi wrote: May 21st, 2018, 7:16 pm ... If it hatches it will be difficult for it to reach the food between the bigger siblings. I'm already glad, if the fourth storklet got enough food to survive. 8-) unsure:
:hi: Michi,
thank you for reporting, shots and comments :2thumbsup:
also feeding 4 storklets is hard situation for adult storks and yes, for the last chick(s) it is already difficult between the bigger siblings

uuups it is back in the middle of the nest.. it is to early for it :whistling:

Oh I see what has happen. That is, what Maris wrote and I have read. An egg can go overboard by a change-over, or by an fight in the nest.

15:30 We have had a change over. Kaupo ist in the nest

At her take off, she kicked the egg to the edge
