14:54 Robert is standing only on the right foot on the branch, he keeps his left foot up.

EDIT: 14:45 is the right time.

I heard him ruffle his feathers a while ago. Did you see it then?

The blood could also come from the other eagle or a prey.

another poop. then stretching. he is showing off to Lady that he is cool. 8-)
edit: or probably Lady left first and that is why Robert relaxed? :puzzled:
i could hear her voice still at 14:57:10, after Robert pooped. but the video is so bad.

- but he cannot lean properly on his left foot.

he took off.

.... an eagle flying far in the sky on the left side.

i don't seem to get decent recordings from the Pontu player window with the screen recorder. it's not the Tube's fault. i'm recording from the Pontu player window, direct stream. that doesn't give me good picture in the first place. the picture is a bit stop&go most of the time, freezing and stuttering. then the Debut recorder which i use to record the screen add some hizzing and cricking on the sound so that is not good either. VLC stream is much better, only sound is missing.

i so wish that Mr U could fix the sound problem. this is driving me crazy. :faint:

I wonder, how Robert can catch a prey, with this foot

We are all thinking about that, I'm sure.
Hopefully the foot will heal in a few days time.

Hello to all

To those who have problems with the audio VLC you have tried to use an older version of VLC ? :whistling:

We hope that our Robert has not suffered a serious injury and can recover soon, the greatest thoughts, however, is for our Durbe that still has not shown up
Hello Durbe, wherever you are I hope you are flying happy ... we miss you.

How do you know that? Not everyone has realized that the eagle needs his feet , to catch prey.
There are many who are learning only now. I've learned here.

here's a picture of Robert landing for the first time. the feet don't look bad from this angle. and i can't see blood on either of them from this angle.

the other side.

the Danish WTE-female had a badly injured foot last year and yet they manage to breed successfully, even though a marten destroyed their first clutch (but that happened independently of the foot i think). i don't know how readily eagles may change their parental roles if a male suddenly can't fulfill his duty as the family's breadwinner. we should remember anyway that Durbe was (and is!) a skilled and eager fisher. actually i was surprised that she fished so much last spring and summer. so let's not again paint devils on the walls too early.

i made two more pictures of the feet.

i don't think they look very alarming. the quality of the pictures could of course be better.

we are naturally all worried about 'our eagles'. i am worried about Lady, too. relieving our stress in making snappy remarks doesn't make anyone feel more comfortable so i must ask everyone to keep one's calm, please.
