I had the most trouble getting the captures. Once you have an image saved the main thing is you need a web based photo site -- image shack or photo bucket or... there are lots of choices.

Don't worry about your english it is fine.

I think it is very hard, almost impossible, to tell them apart. Side by side it may be possible to see that the female is bigger and it is the male that brings presents for the female and i think the female cries out for presents (but the male may cry out to announce that he has a nest). But if you just see one eagle land and then leave, I do not think it is possible to be sure which eagle it was.

haven`t seen or heard him today :(

A short visit in the afternoon showed me on the notebook some very nice pictures:
I couldn't see what meal he/she had found but it seemed to taste very well

I also had this cam open most of the day and besides the two LSE I have not seen "anybody" else. Poor Padis - he's such a beautiful bird!

I think it was a frog, I have seen several frogs there today, one was even crawling around before the eagle got a bit annoyed and ate it, another did take a sightseeing round before being eaten

BS nest pair this morning. Male arrives first, then larger female. Working on the nest, bringing spruce twigs & moss.

6:30 AM

I think I just saw the male plopping down on the nest -- It looks like he is saying see, see it is a comfortable nice nest.

I missed that, Alice. Had to be away from the computer for a bit.

But now, he keeps bringing spruce twigs & arranging them into a nice nest for her, while she keeps biting at his beak, begging for more frogs.

Now she brought some spruce. they seem really motivated today to furnish the nest properly.

I remember this pair from last summer. She was the more aggressive of the two & seemed to boss him around quite a bit. I wondered at the time if he was younger.

Female at BS nest, decorating it & trying it for size.

A lot of fur tree twigs but nobody in the nest. Guess Padis has one more place to stay. Somehow this year he looks much better than a year ago.

Asteria, I agree that Padis looks healthier this year. Last year he was coughing a lot and I think Urmas suggested that the cough may have been caused by the parasite infestation that black storks suffer. As they forage for food in watery places, they have leeches in their throats.

Perhaps he is free from that now? But how?

If this nest is going to be an LSE nest, maybe this topic should be moved to the LSE forum?
