Chimega - In this case, I have to look at their beak to see the difference. Tiit has a darker "area" on his beak, Tiina`s beak has a clearer, full, colour.

Forum members became very good in Black Stork individual determination, that is pure pleasure to see and feel! That gives me more time to do some other things. I agree with arguments according why this is Tiina.

Even, if Tiit does not return, think Tiina will not stay alone, because in Estonian and Latvian populations here is 1/3 more of males as females. We do not know exactly, why it is so?

And if to see only one stork on nest, there is not easy to say, if it is male or female. But in known cases there are majority of males.

I understood that this article in Looduskalender was not wrote by Urmas...

I got a really special photo from Urmas. It shows the camera how the storks sitting on the nest are seeing it. Previously the camera was fixed to the right trunk (the one with the rope). It is moved as far back as possible. I think it is out of poop shot reach though
