April 4

Good Morning all :hi:

Thanks to all for pictures and comments.
Michi, thanks a lot for your "night shift" pictures. :2thumbsup:

5:36 Male is preening themselves. I can hear it. It is still dark.
6:08 early morning nest work
6:15 went in the old nest and brings a branch
6:18 the next branch is brought - taken from the old nest
6:19 jumps to the right (or fly away- I'm not sure)
6:20 back with a branch- so he was in the old nest
6:21 short hissing
6:22 this time he flew off?
6:23.. nope, he was again in the old nest - returned with a branch
and away again

2019-04-03 19:04:28 Eedi flew over the cam nest. Just on the way back to home. More precisely, Eedi went first to the neighbors nest and stays there for night...

I'm sitting in the forest to trap a Goshawk, but can't resist to peek in ... though connection is very weak.
Nice!
About Karl there is no data, but Karl The Second may replace him probably in case of perish. That's natural and good nest sites with (good) females stay not empty, probably.

7:59 Male settles down in the nest.. gets up again
8:01 mating
8:07 Kati is spreading the moss, both work a bit. It seems she is not satisfied with the nest
some of his tail feathers are very frayed.

8:09 strange bird? is calling
8:12 mating

8:18 he settles down in the nest.
8:22 another mating - This all looks very familiar to me. Kati has no problem with Karl the 2nd. Maybe they have already met outside the nest.
