It was so sudden :puzzled:

I'm without sound most of the time. I can't stand their begging voices

She flew away again

Maybe now she risks to get something edible after all

No human was near the nest. Arranging the feeding spot at the moment

I hope she will find :loveshower:

That can be a long wait. I don't think she will use the feeding place yet. She will fly to her known place

16:58 she is back
preening the storklets. Well, learned something new again. Flying away doesn't mean looking for food

ahhh ok then I misunderstood earlier......
then that is with the instinct nevertheless in such a way, either it decides them to let starve or risks the fodder supply.
yes I also had to turn down the volume, the storks should actually be tired of the chirping.

She is there, I am curious

She did not get food after all

Maybe they don't beg enough anymore and that's why she keeps it in, or maybe she just ran away from misery a little bit

17:01 looks like she will feed them? .. back to preening
and she covers the little ones :faint:

Maybe she wanted to leave, but she could not resisted the chirping of her chicks and came back .
That means the instinct is bigger than anything else . Just like the golden eagle female. She only went out for very short time. .a few minutes.

yes exactly ..........Always remain there means then also not necessarily boundless protective instinct and
to fly away does not necessarily mean to search for food ..... what a pity!
Unfortunately we will see, either she stays until the bitter end or there were already attempts to leave the little ones.

IMPORTANT People will visit the nest shortly and bring some fish to the nest. We don't know what will happen afterwards, but please be ready for anything.

I don't think this will end well!

I’ve seen it, Liz.
Janika is amazing!

I really hope she found the fish basket.
That would bring some hope for the survival of the 4 remaining chicks.

I think Janika will need a lot of help to find enough food for herself and her chicks.
Still many weeks to go.
