the weather is turning back to "normal" again, i.e. it has become windy again. it didn't snow much, or the wind blew out the snow as it is dropping on the nest, so the net change was about zero.
it's getting dark now.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28th
Good Morning!
A quiet morning on the last weekend of this Decade, a decade of big change in daily life for most of the people around the globe; many of us left the computer and are taking info, sounds and private data in our pockets.
Even our nests and birds can follow us everywhere.
Some thinks it's the greatest era, and others - are missing previous systems like using a simple phone to connect and hear voices of the one we love...
Happy Weekend!

8:54 strange noises (It started 8:53:55)
8:55 again very strange.. are this wild boars? (someone was walking under the nest tree)
They are not typical wild boar screams. I have no idea what was calling
8:56 /8:57 again these strange noises and running animals under the nest tree

i think those were voices of raccoon dogs (Nyctereutes procyonoides).
aren't they charming voices?

then voices of crossbills.
... normal jay voices afterwards. also before the loud ka-ka!-call there was a lot of normal jay talk.

I have sound
10:25 ? Crows were very near, perhaps even on the top.
I heard wings ? landing? (was far from comp).

one raven flew by (or over) first.

then another landed on the top for a while.

then both (or more) ravens flew around the nest tree a few times.

14:03 Raimis landed on the nest. he looked around... he was alert of something.
no, this was not Raimis, was it? this one has a very spotty back.

not the tail of Raimis.

then the eagle flew out, after staying for less than a minute.
what was that about?
edit: he was in a wrong place. plus the hunters were coming.

14:07 a dog is barking. i heard footsteps from the ground.
the dog is coming closer.
14:08:18 and 19 two rather big birds flew to the right over the meadow. maybe the hunters are coming from the left.
14:08:40 sound of wings.
there must be hunters, that was what made Raimis alert.
edit: it was not Raimis.
this is the profile of the stranger.

14:14 two eagles flew by and one of them called, a male. that must have been Raimis. he was chasing the stranger away. both had white tails.

then Raimis called more and perhaps Milda, too.
14:15:24 a brief landing on the top. then the eagle flew away.
14:15 hunters are rattling in the forest. a battue hunt.

14:21:25 angry eagle's call. and the hunters are shouting in the forest
14:21:55 again eagle's call.
before the calls a big bird, probably an eagle flew by from left to right. then the calls.
the tail looked white and the way of flying looked like an eagle's flight.
