Well I don't know where Winter went to! This is a poppy that is coming up quite nicely:

Whistler has lots of snow so that is no problem. For the events on the local mountains near Vancouver, they have put down bales of straw, topped the straw with cardboard and bought in snow from other locations via helicopter!
