Re: Estonian White-tailed Sea Eagle Nest Camera 2021
today there were many elk in the meadow.
11:00 three elk walked to the meadow. one seemed to be slightly bigger than the other two. it was probably a cow with two 1 year old calves. they started to roan on the meadow eating.
11:59:30 one of them lay down in the centre of the meadow on the left side of the birch. it probably began to ruminate.

later i checked to see if the elk was still there. it wasn't. i rewound the stream till i found the departure.
14:29:26 the elk got up from her rest in the meadow. the elk walked behind the birch in the middle of the meadow.
14:31:30 the elk walked from behind the birch. then another elk got up next to the birch.
14:32 the 1st elk seemed to lower her back. she (?) stood like that for a while.... then raised up and continued walking. maybe she pooped? or peed?
a little bird visited the nest at the same time. a willow warbler? she was collecting downy feathers...
14:36 the 2nd elk walked away. 14:38:52 the 1st elk walked away.
14:38:52 a 3rd elk walked from behind the birch! they had all been resting on the meadow.
3rd elk began to eat....
14:45:45 he walked away.
all 3 elk walked to the right.

Hi, Martin

I use a program with which I can download the original stream. I can download data from 4 hours back.
Otherwise, when I'm online, I use potplayer for my videos.

In any case, Kotka Klubi will be most pleased with this "ring encounter" (and jumping up and down with joy, I presume...),

Let's see, if Liz01 manages to find out more with her zooming device!
Breathtaking encounter between these two birds.

In the news: https://www.postimees.ee/7251634/lahkam ... linnugripp
The eagle chicks died of bird flue (H5N1). They cite Dr. Leivits, but illustration is about ospreys...
It is said that H5N1 is very dangerous and adaptable, so that mammals, including humans, can catch it. They hope that the parents, who ate the same food [and are probably also ill - seems to be a conclusion], will survive.
