After a longer preening period they mated again at 15:56.

What a joy and relief to see TWO storks in the nest when I opened the cam.
I'm very busy today, so I have not much time to watch, unfortunately. But thank you for videos, pictures and comments.

I fully agree, Baska. One has to fear always, that one of the mates didn't return from migration. Therefore I'm very glad, that both storks have managed it, to come back healthy.

Karl was not going fishing. 17:33 he is already back with a twig with greenery.

I thought, Karl would now being outside for a while. But no. He brought a quite huge bunch of moss. Probably it took him time to find it.

Jo, The nest is hardly to recognize now. Karl has done an unbelievable, a very good job! But I guess that in this season he will not stop building.

I've counted the here documented number of matings between the first at 14:43 and 17:13.
There have been 16 matings. :)
