Latvian Osprey nest 2019-2023

i was in kitchen and heard a chirping, came running and what do i see ?


14:27 what's that ? A female ?



then in rewind i saw:

14:26 with chirping sounds Teo flew to the nest
and landed on the nest edge with a BIG whole fish


then the shadow of an osprey (?) could be seen flying past to the right

then an osprey (a female ?) flies in to the nest from the left


Teo is flapping his wings and his tail is fanned

the osprey stires at the fish in Teo's claws


Teo still flapping his wings, it doesn't seem that he will give his fish away,
rather it looks like defending his fish


Teo flew off with his fish



Teo, if that was a female, you should not have missed that chance


i watched a bit more:

Teo came back with a fish, maybe the same as before, he took his head down and went in submissive posture, the Lady took the fish

He flew off and the Lady started to eat the fish in the nest !
Teo briefly later came back to nest with a HUGE bunch of hay.
He shows himself from the best side, good fellow.

That looks promising. Will this become a love story ? We all hope it.

i'm sorry i can't follow, i must leave to an appointment. Always when it starts to become interesting :(

Teo has visitors in the nest... I'm just completely excited! I don't write much here but my eyes are always on Teo.

A few moments ago there was a blast on back. Unsuccessfully and both still seem very strange and rather pugnacious but I think it could be a female.

The mating suggestion was 15:15:30

Too short for me for a screenshot. I have had strong internet problems for 3 days. I'm glad to have sometimes something about a few minutes connection.

And 15:09 brings Teo soft nesting material.

I hope now very optimistic for our very special Osprey! =)

Wow! What news. My heart jumps with joy for Teo! I hope that osprey will remain here with my dear Teo. Thank you for the news and pictures, balistar, Polly,Jojo! 16:08. Teo is in a hurry to mate...but unsuccessfully. It seems that the female is dumbfounded.

This female also seems to me to be a little bit strange and strong...reminds me of Ivo's current new partner.

16:36. The female (I hope so) has eaten the fish and is looking carefully at the sky. Oh! It's Teo with fish! But the female is afraid of him! Oh! Poor Teo!

16:43. Teo flew away with the fish. 16:49. Theo arrived with the decapitated fish. A minute later landed a potential wife. She's chirping. Everything seems to be going according to plan.

16:53. The female asks for the fish and Teo gives the fish to her, pretty tumbling the fish in the hay. Female is hungry. It is not surprising! The journey from Africa is long! 16:54. Teo was trying to mate. But it prevents wind and intractability of the female.

I wouldn't be surprised if Teo brings more fish now! 17:03. Oh! Teo brought the building material and immediately began work on the house. It shows itself from all sides! And most importantly at 17:04. But, so far unsuccessfully!
