Have you looked through the films here? I love especially the one where Mom LSE leaves the really small chick (the egg shells are still there) with Dad LSE and he looks and looks and the little one moves and he jumps "goodness, this thing moves!" It's so cute! I don't remember Tuuli leaving Remo alone with either Tormi or Stephi so shortly after they hatched!



A pity there is no sound! And a pity it's not a "webcam" to follow! They are absolutely beautiful!

Felis, I laughed about the same scene .... this is so heartworming when Dad LSE is inspecting his offspring

The camera in the first video was more straight - maybe it got a kick from one of the birds leaving or arriving at the nest ... Quality of the films is superb, it would be great to have it streaming with sound of course ....

It's so funny to see "Dad" with his youngster. He think:"Why do you let me alone with this little fluffy thing" and then: "OMG, this little thing is alive !!!"

It's a great cam quality . It would be nice to follow them next season...

We have to keep an eye on that web page. Maybe they at least post from time to time about the birds.

Hello Everybody

Last night I sent an e-mail to the contact address of the LSE project in Poland http://www.orlikkrzykliwy.pl/en/ including (among others) two questions :

1) Is there a chance to run the live webcam available on the internet in the next breeding season?

2) What was the further course of the breeding season 2012, i.e., whether the parents were able to successfully raise their chick to depart on migration?

So far, no response. If I get an answer, I will share with you.

EENet told me that this interruptions were because of cyber attacks from Anonymous Group against Estonian government e-services (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spOi70IULJs). It took down international connections for a while. But it must be OK now.

We have been facing problems again in the morning and just received a message from Webmaster:

Just received message from EENet.

there were two problems with international connections today. One between Tallinn-Copenhagen and other between Tallinn-Riga, what was the backup connection. Breakout lasted from 9:39-12:11 today.

Besides, we have been made aware that there are still forum members who can't log on and get error messages from their browser. Should anyone still have problems to log into the forum, will you please let us know!

I know that Chimega ,from the Usa, has problems to get in. But I'll send her your messages !

I still can't get on here except through AOL's browser which means AOL's IP address, I presume? I cannot get on via Chrome, Firefox or MSIE.

Chimega, webmaster is flooded with requests for help just now, but I will let him know about your continued difficulty, later.

Interesting -- I think a few years before I found this site, the first time I really heard about Estonia was a news story about Estonia, one of world's most internet developed countries in the world, suffering from cyber attacks (they thought from another country). And now all the time I make use of Estonian internet developments and suffer when they experience cyber attacks.

I am back on the site, thanks to Felis silvestris's efforts to convey my plea for help to the Webmaster.

And Felis-- the video of the new dad was great! I laughed hard when I saw his startled reaction to his new little chick.
