Estonian Osprey Nest ~Mai & Mikk~ (P&M) DOCUMENTATION 2015

16:35 Mai began to eat her fish again. The egg is alone since 16:10.
16:44 Mikk landed, is not interested in the egg. Mai is still eating her fish.
16:53 Mikk is standing and watching Mai's eating. 16:59 She flew off . Mikk found some leftovers to eat.
17:04 Mikk off and 17:06 is back, standing near the egg, dancing around it.
17:14 He lay down on the egg. 17:15 Up again and dancing around the egg. 17:16 Down on the egg.
17:38 Mikk stood up, rolled the egg and lay down at 17:40.
17:54 Mikk up and 17:55 down on the egg.
18:08 Mikk stood up and 18:09 is back on the egg.
18:15 Mikk flew off. The egg alone.
18:20 Mai is back and 18:21 begins incubating.

Mai come back and Mikk is happy, that he can go away from the egg

18:20 Mating and he fly out

19:23. Mikk intends to mate...but something went wrong!

20:36 Mai is incubating in the beautiful evening sun

20:59 Mikk is standing on the nest.

21:04 Mai back and Mikk stands up.
21:08 Mikk flew away, Mai is incubating.

Mai is softly chirping about something and then taking a look at her egg.




6:17 Mating.

Good morning! 7:12. Mikk is in incubation.

7:20. Came Mai. She came off the pine to the right. Mikk immediately flew away from the nest. The egg until opened. Mai chirps. Mikk returned in a minute with a branch. A small work in the nest. Finally Mai with soft chirping coated egg. 7:23. Mikk has left the nest. 7:25. Mikk brought another stick. 7:26. Both are in the nest. Mikk flies and Mai again forced to cover the egg. 7:27. Mikk brought a large branch. Now they're throwing her in the nest. They finally decided to build a nest!

9:25. It seems Mikk delivered to Mai fish. I haven't seen... She flew right on pine.

9:25 Mikk landed without fish, Mai flew off. Mikk didn't incubate.
9:29 Mai is back with a stick.
9:31 Mating attempt. Mai on the egg.

10:52 Both on nest .Heard a alarm call before.


10:55 Mikk fly out and Mai is incubating now. She have to do that the egg will be under her.


Mai needs breakfast, Her croup looks very flat

Since 11:10 Mikk is on nest and it seems, till now he does not really know what to do with this egg

12:07 Mai back, standing on the nest and calling.
12:09 Mikk took off and back for mating. Then flew away. Mai is incubating.

Mai was calling forceful and fly out in the line of wood in to a tree
