Because of the darkness it is difficult to write something now, but when I did the last photo, Tiina unfolded the wings and got up from time to time. Similar behavior I observed in 2008 in the white stork nest monitored using IR.Jo UK wrote:rachowiak, why do you say she is nervous? What is she doing?

We really need our North American Branch on days like these!rachowiak wrote: Tiina is very nervous. Probably tomorrow morning we will see another white oval surprise.
Bociany, Alice, Kitty, you will be first to see the news we are expecting!

Camera software is retrying to reconnect with camera and gives report about (un)success, finally it gives up...
The same problem occur as yesterday. Please be patient, though not easy to fix the problem - we need couple of fresh batteries and in darkness to replace these in forest (some 100m of nest). Renno is in field this week and for me it takes 4 hours to drive there, but probably need to plan that trip in next days. First possibility in Thursday.
Probably in afternoon the system will switch on again.

Four eggs - soon we will see them, too. At the moment one stork is resting.

I never will tell a name because I am not able to see who is in the nest etc. Please, excuse me for that.

Bleggi, don't worry, I also have problems to tell which of the two is sitting on the eggs! Maybe sometimes when both are there.

I hope that after two years at last we have a happy black stork nest!rachowiak wrote:Tiina is very nervous. Probably tomorrow morning we will see another white oval surprise.
What do you think - four eggs are sufficient for us?
Happy New (moist) Year, Tiina and Tiit!!!

I do hope she stops laying eggs now.
It's difficult to deal with the "population control" measures, if we see it on camera.
