Camera dropout between 15:00:20 and 15:01:55.
The chicks are twittering as the camera moves on. Whether Kaia was at the nest is uncertain.

The beaks look clean. :puzzled:

15:51 an orange-red butterfly visited on the curved branch on the right.
15:53 a dark butterfly flew around the storklets. that was a purple emperor male. the storklets tried to catch him.

16:05 two butterflies! :headroll:
one black on the left side of the nest, and an orange-red butterfly on the right side.
correction: three! two dark butterflies on the left. i think that they were purple emperors.

Swenja, that could be the same butterfly which i saw at 15:51.
what is the time stamp of your picture? :puzzled:
silver-washed fritillary = Argynnis paphia.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver-washed_fritillary

this red-orange butterfly can well be a silver-washed fritillary, but there are also many other alternatives. :slap:
Luontoportti gives here 42 different alternatives, but of course not all are suitable. several are. :slap:
https://luontoportti.com/en/t/1553/silv ... ation=true

the time stamp should always be included also in the edited pictures (copy & paste).

My video program cannot relocate video content as far as I know. Also don't copy and paste a timestamp.

Swenja, how do you capture and edit your pictures then? :puzzled:
your picture was only a part of the whole picture.
(i use Paint for editing. there copy&paste is possible and easy.)

:hi: ame, yep, the second purple emperor joined the first at 16.05.05,
and i'm not sure if the orange butterfly that appeared on the right side at 16.05.11 is the same as the one that Swenja captured in her picture.
I took a screenshot at 16.05.11 (like the one your video pic shows) and i think this orange butterfly has a more "round" shape :puzzled: .... there are really a few suitable ones, so possibly these two are different kinds.

This is not a captured screenshot. This is a video image that I already enlarged in the video program and saved as an enlarged single image.
Detail hits come out of a video better than I would click on random screenshots.

i'm afraid that i don't understand how your method works but that's ok.
i record the stream and then look for best frames in the video and then save them as single shots. after that i can edit the pictures.

the 'roundness' changes depending on how the butterfly arranges her 4 wings, plus on our viewing angle.. :whistling:

it's a shame that we don't know at what time Swenja took her picture. :slap:

19:10:about 00 someone flew by the camera. a butterfly?
no, an other kind of insect.

Yes, it was a lot!
Well done, Karl II ! :headroll:

Do you see where #1(?) is spearing Karl's beak?
Image

Bonus has grabbed a fish and quickly turns his head away
Image

There are still some smaller fish visible on the nest floor.

Thank you, Swenja! :2thumbsup:

I edit the frame right away in the video program. That's all.
it's a shame that we don't know at what time Swenja took her picture. :slap:

Thank you very much!
You know what? Swenja just lets it be now. Is that the better solution for you?

Argynnis paphia?

Image
this one looks most similar to Argynnis lathonia.
Small fritillary
what a beautiful name in english:
"Queen of Spain fritillary"

edit
in Latin are two variants of the name :book:
Issoria lathonia/Argynnis lathonia

 poor Karl II always has to endure a lot when the storklets are greedy for food.
Like exuberant youth, they know no caution.
