Wow!
21:37 Iiris back on the camstand and UP eats the fishtail

Don't know if UN ate (didn't watch during the day) but I'm sure it's all fine.

Yes, both UN and UP got fed properly from that fish delivery. I have not followed the cam before noon, so I don't know if she got fed even earlier. Also afternoon I have been watching now and then, not continuously

Thanks, Owlie.
I also am not able to watch continuously all day long, i just was wondering, also when i saw UN doing only a small PS. Not that i was worried, i just didn't see her eating.

look at UN, her look is a bit timid (fits for the character of Middlie :whistling: )
About the characters of our three heroes  There was a moment when Middlie was not so calm and timid at all. Have no time to search for it now, but in the beginning there were quite a few episodes where the ospret, which we thought is Middlie, repeatedly showed aggression and willingness to attack the two others/dominate. For a moment, we even discussed that middlie is perhaps a female (females are often more aggressive). Which, it turns out, she is

Perhaps their character development has also changed a bit, as it has happened often in other seasons. The level of dominance/aggression, as well as the hierarchy sometimes changes..

Yes, Sunshine, i remember the Middlie's willingness to attack in the beginning
For sure also Smallie's and how Oldie made clear who is "the boss".
Yes, nature has some surprises in store.

A good example was recently given by an American Osprey nest. Normally, there was no rivalry between siblings until the mother had seriously injured her leg and was unable to feed her osprets (and hard to eat for herself). The male supplied them with many fish and also took over to feed the osprets. They were no longer babies, but still too young to feed themselves. Since the father could not feed in the same way and as regularly as the mother -although he did his very best-, the rivalry between the siblings began with pecking and biting.
Dispite her big pain the Mom tried and tried to feed the osprets. As soon as Mom was able to feed the osprets a little, the sibling rivalry stopped.

UN is so good at preening! It was the longest un-interrupted preening session (without raising her head) ever captured on cam. 8-)
