21:23 Fresh fish delivery by Ivo. UM is there first to take the fish and starts eating.


21:27 Iiris brings a new stick and jumps on the camstand.

The last two days 5-6 fish were delivered and today 9 fish so far. Both parents know that UM needs more fish to restore energy resources.

21:57 UM is eating, UP began to eat his own fish, UN is sleeping. After eating people wipe their mouth, ospreys clean their beak after eating and so did UM.

When I watched UM land after his first fledge it looked like he landed in the middle between UP and UN and it knocked UN off to fly on her own. But no one else seems to mention that so I must be mistaken - can anyone fill me in?

at 18:16 UM -as all the good things are 3- took off to his 3rd flight

when UP was still being fed by Iiris with the fish from what UM only had the head,
he thought let's have another round and took off again - beautifully


he showed us he is born to fly


UN tracks his flight and squeals like crazy, Iiris and UP join in watching

UN was so inspired, began wing exercises with jumps

UP joined the exercises, eagerly


both were diligent training - "brother, soon we will join you in the sky"


UP gave up first, UN was determined to follow UM soon

.....until Mom flew off and disturbed UN's run


18:22 UN eagerly started again, i think she wants to be the next


she also jumped, so excited she was

UM tested their neck muscles


surely they admire their daring brother


As Hellem mentioned, UM came back at 20:05 (btw: with a perfect landing next to UN),
so on his 3rd flight he was away almost 2 hours !! Well done, UM

What a wonderful exciting day this was. Thanks to our uniquely entertaining osprey family.

5:35 Kids are awake but don't feel like getting up yet. Someone at the top of the dead tree.


5:43 Might as well sleep some more.


5:45 Parent lands on the camera and starts calling gently. Kids still sleepy.

Breakfast arrived! UM seems to be hungrier than the others. Immediately took charge of the fish.

UP does vigorous wing exercises. Doesn't want to let go of the fish.
