12:22 UM didn't find fish in the nest, his sisters were preening themselves,
so did he, a little


12:25 after a while he took off again, probably it was too boring for him,
watching his sisters' preening session


12:26 the girls watched him flying away and around as if he would fly a race,
then they resumed preening

14:35 Ivo brings a fresh fish and leaves. Iiris starts eating and feeding the 2 chicks on the nest.
I think I saw UM flying around in the distance but it could have been Ivo.

12:46 Mom came to cam stand and UN does some nice wingersizing




12:47 and UN jumps high

12:47 UN feels the air under her wings - and again she jumps high

now i'm really curious, which of the girls will be the next, maybe they will fledge together ???

14:51 UM landed, but it's too late, Iiris finished feeding (fish from 14:35) and UP took the fish tail
14:54 UM tried several times to grab the fish tail from UP, UP protected it
14:54 Iiris flew to the dead tree and UP lied down on the fish tail
14:57 UP continued eating her fish tail, 14:59 she swallowed the tail fin, nothing for UM

15:03 UM flew away and at 15:04 he's back, 15:14 off again

15:04 UM landed as if he had been practicing it in the meanwhile

14:54 UP pecking UM twice to make clear he may not steal the fish


15:14 UM flew away again

15:19 Another fish delivery by Ivo.
Iiris is on the nest but UP takes the fish and starts eating.

17:00 Iiris arrives with a big fresh fish followed by UM who takes the fish and starts eating


17:03 Iiris back to the dead tree.
17:05 looked like UM was gonna fly away with the fish (but he's still on the nest)

18:14 Iiris back on the nest with half a fish.
UN gets the fish and starts eating.

18:50 UP was basically flying (but didn't leave the nest!)

I totally agree that, UP & UN, are besties. Since the beginning they have been side-by-side.
I give even chances as to which one will take flight first. 50 - 50%

Yes, she is the lucky one of all three.

Yes, Summi, UP is very pleased. I just adore the way that the chicks talk, when they are eating!

21:19 Iiris flew away, UM came home , UP is eating

21:51 UP is full, she leaves the fish tail on the nest

22:01 Iiris landed and Ivo followed her, he brought a big fish tail
22:02 Ivo left and Iiris began feeding, both girls are at the table but most of the pieces gets UN
22:12 The fish is gone, Iiris swallows the tail fin
22:13 Iiris flew away
22:17 UN is doing wing exercises and UP is sleeping
