8:49 - 9:39 Kaupo is still here. He was resting, preening, has do some light nest work

9:46 Kaupo lays down in his nest


9:53 stands up and rearranges the branches

10:11 he is singing and again working with the branches.. is poking in the nest bowl.

10:15 he looks up. There seems to be someone. He sings briefly.

then again a gap!




11:46 Kaupo sings again.
11:49 short singing and he is looking around

The nest looks so beautiful. I so wish that Kaupo now finds a female. Although it's already a bit late in the season.
A pity that Gaja didn't return.

19:29 he start nest work.. is aerating the nest bowl, arranges the branches . is preening himself. It is a quiet work. Almost as if the brood would start soon. But there is still no female.

7:02 a huge bunch moss is brought. He made a few laps around the nest before bringing the moss.

We wanted to document the nest building. That's done. I will continue watch but not so intense anymore. Should a female arrive here, then I will watch again.

I think the nest rebuilding will continue. It's the third layering now. First was very small branches, then big branches and moss,then small branches and filling material, then big branches again ... like today.
