Baby is very active, all into Raimis

8:34 a green sandpiper (?), the same bird as yesterday, flew by the nest from left to right calling. then he continued to sing some where nearby.


earlier this morning at 6:29 the same bird made a visit to Milda. it stopped on the poop branch.

8:41 Milda got up and stretched. the chick was looking at her with a slightly wobbly head. "food?"


8:42:35 Milda called a little. the sandpiper flew by and he is calling all the time. this is his territory, too.

8:44 Milda went to toilet on the left side. she was very discreet about it: the baby was looking the other way.

there is a big bird in the sky above, about 2-3 min ago

Abigyl, that bird was the sandpiper once more.
it was not a big bird but close.
i got very silly pictures of it. there were two images in each frame.


8:51 the sandpiper is full of spring spirit. he was singing near the nest. Milda preened herself...

8:53 he made a visit to Milda again, a brief stop on the tip of the poop branch, singing wild.
i made a collage of several frames. the light was almost perfect at this visit. the white tail seems to have black stripes in the tip.
