Olga, thank you very much for gorgeous videos and pictures of squirrels.
Your squirrels are so cute and lovely. I adore all of them. ♥
I'm proposing a new category in Olympic Squirrel Games - "Miss and Mister Olympic Squirrel Games"
When I watched videos and pictures of wet squirrels I recalled myself video from barber and squirrel who likes to warm up close hair dryer.
Thank you also for beautiful video of Black woodpecker couple.
It seemed that Blue tits were visible between the branches too.

Paula, the Winner of all Mothers on Squirrel Hill, supposedly has delivered more squirrel pups than other females!
Who is he?? He has beautiful tassels, dark and long! Last summer there was one young squirrel looking like him. He may have returned by the attracting female odor!
Today I have seen also Small ear youngster and Castana too.

So the Olympics are over, and things are back to normal.
"The tail" is beautiful, and so is the winner of special fur colour, Castana, of course. I notice that No snow is visible in the background, an early spring approaching:)
Thank you for beautiful photos and update, Olga

Yes, the spring is close. We are promised to get even +7 C in this week. Some migrating birds have returned, e g Larks and Eiders, also Herring Gulls ahve been seen in southern Finland.
Today there were four squirrels seen in the morning.
The two first ones were Paula and a male wiht long tassels. The male could be one who got the name Mr Spock in last fall.

Males are told to be like loners on winter season, they make longer journeys than the females - I think I haven't seen him since last fall. So, he might have returned now for a good reason.

Small ear youngster
I called her Cocoa in last summer and fall. She had those middle brown reddish tassels and the head fur..
And here, yes, I think it is the same whom I have called Small ear the youngster:
No, there was not, it is 'Cocoa' = the Small ear youngster!
She has to be the same as 'Small ear youngster. She was also called earlier as Cocoa.
In that picture above the tassels look very thin, but they are wet and it's fall too.
*** There are also bigger eared squirrels too: I am not sure of who is this one with almost Mickey mouse ears from last fall. 21st October 2013:

Yes, they are all just so cute, lovely and beautiful!
Each of them is an individual its own special traits, in behavior and in outlook, colors of fur, tails and ears, etc.
I am so happy of having had the possibility to present some shortcuts of their life here.

It's the 1st March.
I have a good news: I saw Charley today. So, Long tassel and Charley are alright and fine, both of them have returned.
There is waiting a video of Charley this morning, but first some other videos from past week.
24th February: Castano or Long tassel:
Today I think that it is Long Tassel, et's call him by name Calle, it's a male. His tassels are probably longer than the tassels of Castano. It would ne a bit to measure..
The face color of Castano is darker than Calle's.
BTW, I had forgotten that Castano is male. That's why i have been uncertain how top write the name, Castana is for fermale! Please, remind me!
