Male black stork has arrived :loveshower:

I have to download the stream. I do not know if it is Kaupo.

Florinda, thank you for the picture :2thumbsup:

I hope it is Kaupo and I hope that Gaja will comes to the nest together with him :bow:
Logically, I would say it wasn't Kaupo.

:hi: Liz,
his head is without Kauopo´s discriminating digit - I saw that not so clearly as previous years (or change only why moulting :puzzled: ) and stayed only short time :bow:
finger crossed for Kaupo and Gaja (or other stork pair here)

27.03.2020 could be I was wrong. If I remember correctly, Maris wrote that this stork was a male. I think he's right.
It could be that this male was here again? If I get a good intention from the feathers when visiting on the 27th, it's easy to tell.
The moulting feathers can be seen well today.

BTW: Solo, I also saw not the bright spot on the head.

I do the video right now

molting feather. Well, the stork was not here this year. Maybe it's Kaupo, maybe a passing traveler ..

So far it has been very disappointing. No matter whether here or at the Estonian nest. I hope it changes. There is still time for everything!

:cry:
Wildlife groups in Greece say that thousands of swallows and other migratory birds have died in Greece in the last few weeks, unable to recover from the exhausting journey from Africa, made even worse this year due to the chilly weather conditions.

Scientists say that persistent strong northerly winds over the Mediterranean and the Aegean have exhausted the birds, who have been spotted in their thousands walking on streets instead of flying as they try to recover.....

The weather is extremely bad. Only storms! maybe that's why I don't see a black stork here this year. Good nests and habitats are usually quickly occupied.

:hi:

Is the cam working well for you? I have the circle...

About the change in birds behaviour: It's also with other animals around the world.

They see that it's not the same world and all around is different:
Roads traffic;
Not the same traffic in the sky;
Humans are not seen in many areas;
Food is not available like before.

If you were hiding in a cave somewhere and came back today to your area... It might be like landing on another planet :cry:

Yesterday I saw a very rare animal in India. There are very few of them, very few people know them. Now they saw one visiting a city, walking on the main street :shock:
