It's heavilly raining in Pärnu.

It is not very exciting on Kergu's nest. There is no girl for him although hid nest is wonderfully padded.

Francesca I think we just have to stay with him. If no partner arrives he will leave when he wants to. But, if a partner appears, then we can enjoy the action!

I'm wondering: During those hours when he's away - is he only foraging, or does he actively search for a female?

Hulbi Lorm, I don't know.
I always thought that courtship takes place on or near the nest because with a nicely padded nest a male can possibly convince a female to stay with him.
