Both parents were on the nest and rearranged the nest, moved branches and moss better. It has been been heavy rain, I think..

At 18:30:

In the morning chicks were alone again. I saw black feathers at the end of their wings already.

It was propably quite a warm day. I saw the chick was breathing fast (right word?) and they, all BSs, kept their beaks open..

20:50 they are still awake. The other one is stanging and flapping wings!

I have just knew that BS in Portugal and Spain don't migrate in winter, they live there constantly. So they don't have to hurry up.

Tomorrow will be the One Month birthday of the older chik!

Father Black stork returned. It's feeding time. White wings were flapping.. from behind the corner..

Still very busy
It's not really like that Asteria. Many white storks don't migrate in the winter anymore but there are still lots of them that do.
BS usually migrate. These ones don't stay there in the winter. There are some that migrate and stay in the south of Spain or Portugal, don't go to Africa but most of them do...
One of "our" BS is one month old today and the other will be tomorrow
They allready get up and do some 2 or 3 steps

Renandeli, thank you for your answer, it is good to know that they were only hidden!

BS usually migrate. These ones don't stay there in the winter. There are some that migrate and stay in the south of Spain or Portugal, don't go to Africa but most of them do...

Anyway they have more time than Estonian BS: they can move later and the way from Portugal to Africa is much shorter.

Yes, that's true.
And as you noticed they arrived much earlier than in Estonia: they were allready there in the end of February.

The temperature there is nearly 35º so they try all the time to stay on fresher places wich are the ones near the rocks.
This morning the mother stayed there with her wings opened, to make shadow for the little BS, for hours! It's really wonderful to see how they take care of them
In the afternoon, the young BS are left alone most all the time although we know that one of the parents is usually in a rock near by.
I'll try to go there in 2 weeks and bring some photos, but you can look:
