Hello, everyone :hi:

Liz, thanks a lot for your great pictures!
Karl II and his moss deliveries are so funny! :D

12:39:04 Karl II picked up a little bit of moss.
Image

12:39:05 His Mum once told him that moss is good for the vitamins, so he started to eat it.
Image

12:39:05 It wasn't easy to swallow. I'm sure he would prefer a slippery fish.

My pleasure, Liz. :D
I don't know if every little story needs a moral, but in yesterday's anecdote, I think the message could be:
If your lover happens to be a moss-fetishist, you better watch your step.

16:38:21 Karl II sees Kati. Note the amorous look in his eyes.

16:38:30 Kati arrived, a short greeting

16:38:39 Karl II flies away

Kati does some nest-work.

16:39:20 She covers her eggs

18:38:02 Kati is still on the nest. With closed eyes and open beak. :D
She looks as if she is being tickled.
Image

18:38:36 The tiny twigs in front of her nose (and even in her beak  ) annoy her a little.
Image

18:38:38 She tries to readjust it a little, but not too fanatically.

Summi, it's a pleasure. :hi:

20:55 Karl II came home. Kati didn't get up to greet. She waved at him from her bed.

Good night.

April 28th

Hello

Nobody home, today? :puzzled:

It is already 18:18 in Karula Park and Karl II is on the nest.
I have no idea what happened today. Nothing? At what time did Kati leave?
Has Karl II been on the eggs since this morning?

This is as far as I could scroll back. Sorry, it is a boring story. :D

I looked again and found two noteworthy observations.

1. Karl II poops with open beak. I read somewhere here on the forum that only male BS do that.
I don't know if it is a valid way to distinguish sexes, but anyway, we already knew that Karl II is a male.
Image

2. Karl II appears to be one of the rare men who can do two things at the same time. Congrats! :2thumbsup:
A demonstration on how to stretch while rolling the eggs.

19:33:40 Kati came home. Karl II didn't get up to greet her.
In fact, he didn't greet at all.

19:33:43 "Are you angry?"
Image

19:33:58 Karl II gets up and sneaks away.
Image

19:34:02 He dives out. I think he's hungry, and it will soon be too dark to fish ...

Anne, thank you for the very noteworthy observations! :2thumbsup:
And I liked the grumpy Karl II who forgot all his good manners to greet his beloved. 8-)

Anne, sorry! I did not have time yesterday. Actually I wanted to make pip observation at the hungarian storks. Just at this time, a female came in nest of Kaupo. Since the stream is very unreliable, I was busy with Kaupo all the time. I hope that changes soon. That's too time consuming.
