Good afternoon, everyone.
Karl II remained in the nest in one position, for a very long time , listening... looking at the forest...
he was not even distracted from this occupation by an annoying bumblebee..

Here is another interesting, informative moment, you can see how the feathers change:
09:40:39. The inside of the wing is clearly visible.
Image

07:11:37.Karl II is cleaning his feathers. They probably change too if it isn't, what is it?... the view is not the same as we have seen before.

I can add pleasant moments  :
1. Feel like a mouse in the paws of a small Ural owl...
Image

2. Imagine that a small owl is flying right at you...
Image

3. Look At a couple of Twix, probably, and in the nest they were sitting next to each other and have not yet managed to forget it...

Thanks a lot, Swenja and Crissy, for the wonderful videos of this very rare visit, and Poliff for the cute pictures!

Such lovely and beautiful owlets! I've never seen such good pictures of this species before. The way they moved in the nest ... ooohh ... so cute and very interesting.
The Ural Owl is a rare bird in Estonia too, isn't it?
Swenja, many thanks for your valuable observation! :2thumbsup:

Great pictures of Karl and owls. Good work, Tatiana60 and Swenja.

Yesterday, Urmas was able to capture an adult black stork. It was ringed and had a transmitter fitted. Was it Karl !!
Here is a photo which Urmas has sent. I have enlarged the leg ring. The number seems to be 716 and something else which I can't read.

Thanks for keeping us informed, Urmas. We shall be excited if we see this black stork on the nest.

:loveshower: Great news !!!! Thank you so much Urmas!!!!!
However it seems to me that this black stork is not Karl II, I think it is smaller and thinner than Karl II. And the feathers are not as neat as Karl's.
But anyway - it is wonderful to have a stork with rings and especially with transmitter :2thumbsup:

And by the way: thank you all for the beautiful owl videos / pictures. I love them all :loveshower:
