good evening!
thank you Liz!
the highlight today was the visit of Mr L in the afternoon.

earlier in the morning a raven (probably) flew by (i found this quite by accident) and at dusk a pygmy owl called. after a while i think i heard a pygmy owl whistle his song very far, but that was on the borderline between reality and imagination. :whistling:

Thanks for the playlist ame
That "strange voices" is bullfinches.
Here at home there is a great invasion of Pine Grosbeaks that can sound about the same but more melodical, something to look out for

This is very sad news.
We will miss you, Nordri.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

aha, thank you Sigge!
i knew that some of the voices belonged to bullfinches but some voices didn't "ring the same bell" in my brain. 8-)
8:17:10 a pygmy owl called rather near. about 30 s later another pygmy owl called farther. these two owls have been calling to each other all autumn.

9:21 a great tit visited.
