Chips seems very unusual. Fish is easier to catch than a crow. Does he like it complicated? :rotf:
...
like i said once before, he is special in many ways.

14:59 a crane flew by and called.
Milda got up the crow and began to pluck it.

the smaller chick was leaning against the egg and then slipped and fell on her side.
"oops!"

15:08 feeding over.

14:58 Milda was looking at something in the sky... then she took the crow. at the same time a lonely crane flew over the meadow from left to right. Milda didn't care about the crane. she fed the chicks.

strange spring. Chips was single, a single swan has been flying around and now a single crane. a singles' spring. :slap:

15:14 Milda turned on the clutch.

at last i have had time to look up the egg talks in the night of Apr 23. they are here:

The chick #1 got most of them; better balance and control of the neck muscles - but #2 got a few as well - from 15:03 on.
The feeding seems to be evolving extremely well for both parents and the chicks.

The first bonk attempt by the first hatched detected at 15:07:58. (Keep it at that, please. :innocent: )

16:12 Milda got up and began feeding. the bigger chick is eating with good appetite. the smaller looks a bit disoriented.
16:15 Milda plucked long wing feathers away. the smaller chick was leaning on bigger sister. ... or is it vice versa? :puzzled:

yes, i think so. the small is on piggyback of the big sister and is taking morsels from behind her back.
.. or the other way round. i'm not sure.

16:20 she rolled the egg. no hole visible.

16:26 Milda turned on the clutch.

Liz, do you think it was egg talk? it's so difficult to know now that there are two chirp-chirp's around. earlier today one of them said chup-chup. :slap:

16:57 more kaa-kaa-ka. and more.
