There were people passing by the nest just now. They had a dog with them (which I missed capturing).

The female took off for her turn and the male stayed - later also he flew away

We would like to name the nesting pair Eve and Eerik. The inspiration for this comes from a wish to recognize all ornithologists, who have worked or are working to study and protect the birds in Matsalu National Park. There have been many, but we could pick only two and decided on names that are Estonian and international at the same time. We haven't asked, but hopefully Eve Mägi (1951) and Eerik Kumari (1912-1984) won't oppose of the eagles being their namesakes.

07:20 YT shows the green screen, but the camera is actually working. Snow untouched.

I'll ask our techguy later, why the YT stream doesn't start as it should in the mornings. Hopefully we can fix it.
