09:39 Nice food and lots of soft sounds flutter through the side entrance - H44.
He stands in the nest, food under his claws, and waits. No response to his offer. So the food has to go to the Hawklets.
H44 carries it into the undergrowth ... greedy enthusiasm can be heard.
Two votes, sure.

The afternoon again fairly calm and without sightings. In the evening, hunger drove two Hawklets protesting through the area.
H44 was also heard.

It cannot be ruled out that someone will stray back to their home nest later today.

But I'm getting lost in the pillows now... my day is ending.

addendum

Two late hawklets actually visited the nest.
21:39 H00 slipped into the nest

'40 H98 through the side entrance

The youngsters search the nest, plucking each feather for something to eat or out of curiosity, jumping over branches and enjoying the safety of the nest.
Outside a pleasant atmosphere with many bird calls - but not those of other H'.

H00 always on the left, H98 on the right.

22:15 H00 must have noticed something. Flies into the terrain calling, H98 follows.
The double pack disappears in the further undergrowth, but can still be heard for a while.

Good morning everyone, Emiliano :hi:

Lots of acoustics today.
The morning was at times filled with loud calls of hawklets, seagulls...crows... But few sightings.

04:54 The Mini-H's have been morosely pacing the terrain for quite a while.
H21 appears in the nest with a green twig. She is attentive, but listens to the calls but keeps fumbling.
Image

Image

Only when a hawklet loudly passes the tree (sound below) does H21 leave the nest and follow her bundle of joy. Both disappear with loud calls in the left grove.

10:36 That's it so far. Occasional call from a hawklet.

No one came into the nest anymore... the nursery will soon gather dust. :innocent:

07:38 H99 (98?) slips crookedly into the nest.
He looks a bit exhausted and seems to have remembered his safe childhood room. Doesn't pick much in the nest - get in and lie down. A sibling can be heard.
Image

Image

Later there are two voices wandering around the area calling. Now the hawklet becomes mobile, leaves the nest below.
Image

The calls continue.

Later it gets restless.
08:15 Many angry, excited cries are heard for the next hour. Mostly H21, then a second adult call (H44?) and also the kikiki of a hawklet. And right in the middle of it all, the attention calls of a hawklet. :innocent:

Is it possible that the first young animals from neighboring nests are looking for their own territories?

09:39 A hawklet calls, H21 lands on the lower floor.
She jumps up into the nest, the calls from the Mini-H get louder and position themselves above H21. :whistling:
The hawklet jumps down into the nest and H21 rushes out through the small entrance.

The hawklet plucks a little, stands calls and jumps onto the side branch.

'49 flies to higher position.
The calls of two hawklets can be heard longer.

Hello together, Emiliano :hi:

Our Hawklets are serious - they're almost undressed.
It's reassuring that at least two of the minis could be heard very often and very stubbornly today. Still, not having seen H97 again worries me. I hope the girl is okay.

It's not yet the time for Hawklets to be pushed out of the precinct by their parents. They are still cared for about 9 weeks after fledged.

So, as of today, two Mini-H's are still reliably present in the area.
Only the father showed up - H44.
13:28 H44 brings prey to the nest.
First one, later two Hawklets begging in the terrain.
Image

H44 seems undecided, waiting and listening to his hawklets calling. Then he carries the fodder into the undergrowth.
Image

It doesn't take much imagination to guess how his children will follow him. And how he looks for a good place to lay his prey and escape the greed of his bundle of joy. It is good to hear.

1st of July

Hello Polly and everyone :hi:

14:05 - 22:30

There has been no apparition seen by the nest.
The sounds of chickens have been produced more or less by the same places always without apparently many displacements of the area where they should be.

17:36 to 18:06
19:05 to 19:45
21:28 to 10:28

Goodnight

Hello Emiliano :2thumbsup:

I can extend the morning a bit.
There was already a hawklet in the nest and on the side branch before 5:00 am.
I watched it on my phone but couldn't rewind it after my job. I was home late.

11:58 A hawklet enters the nest, calling. It is the voice that is heard the most. It plucks briefly in the nest... the beak open, the wings droop a little.
The hawklet settles down.

12:10 The hawklet jumps onto a side branch and lingers there for a while before disappearing into the undergrowth with the wind. :innocent:

July 2nd

05:38 H44 brings a well-prepared piece of food.
He looks a bit battered. Was he in a fight or is he molting? A wing feather sticks out.

Of course there is one hawklet that is very interested in what H44 is holding in its claws.
The son approaches and H44 decides that the feed delivery is over in a hurry.

The hawklet encases its prey and soon begins to feed. How beautifully he does it. :innocent:
The hawklet doesn't seem to have any problems and has confidently dismantled the lining including the legs. Climbs onto the side branch, rubs its beak intensely, cleans toes, and after a rest flies back into the terrain.

July 3rd

Hello everyone, Emiliano :hi:

Today we are lucky enough to see our girl. It is very nice to see that she is doing well. :2thumbsup:

07:06 H97 flutters up through the side entrance into the nest from below.
She is quieter than her brothers, only calls out briefly. H97 stands, looks around and starts picking in the nest.
Image

Image

Then she jumps onto the side branch, climbs higher.

Later, a parent appears to appear below the tree. Now H97 gets energetic...flying down wildly. Her enthusiasm cannot be overheard.

Hello Polly :hi:

In the end she did have the clear "V" on the band of the tail. It seems that it is a thing of the females.

Cheers
