I was so sad to see the "closed nest". I love this small and "broken" nest

Let's hope they'll be back soon

He don't like the branch on the left- just like Grafs last year
But I have to compare pictures from the last year with the black Beauty in the nest :innocent:

15:40 he is working with the branches

Grafs last year!

Abigyl, i need better pics! I need good pictures to make comparisons
he has moved branches, but he has not brought branches or moss to the nest.
19:01 He's not back yet. Normally they start nestauration immediately :puzzled:

The main thing is that we have a pair that starts breeding in time. This would give the chicks a chance to survive.

Now that the season is starting, we may see bachelors..

19:12 he rearranges twigs
working with the left branch! It reminds me another male! was that Kaupo? Or was it Grafs?
The bark in some places is already peeled off
Image

19:15 close up

19:16:0... good profile picture

I must make the effort and find pictures of all the males that have been here. I've had enough of Kaupo! Grafs .. I wasn't very interested, the season started so late. I really didn't want to watch.

19:27 he is poking in the nest .. removes the old moss

I found a picture- he looks like Kaupo - Pics from Kaupo

today male

I will remove the pic later.. I have an even better picture where you can see Kaupo's nostrils very well in profile. I'll compare that tomorrow...
maybe I just wish it is Kaupo. He was extremely successful together with Gaja. Unfortunately, the area there has been permanently changed.
