ame, thanks a lot!
Information about the nest
The nest is located in Vizdeme, Ogre Municipality. Vizdeme comes from the words "Vidus" and "zeme" hat means middle country. From a current point of view, when Livonia is spoken of, it usually means the current Vidzeme region.

According to the information available to Māris Strazds , the black stork nesting area here has been known since at least 2003, however, this nest was only found in January 2021.
The nest may have been built in 2010 after the previous nest was abandoned.
In 2021 there were no chicks, in 2022 three young birds were successfully hatched.
In the previous nest in this area, one of the adult birds was ringed.
2022 both nesting adult birds were ring less.
The camera was moved here from Sigulda Nest:

The live stream shows nature to viewers as it is. With beautiful moments and with the harshness of nature.
The organizers of the live broadcast do not interfere with natural processes, except when birds are harmed as a result of human activity.

Hello
still no stork in sight till now . I'm patiently waiting
14:22/14:23 a Helicopter flies low over the forest.. the nest
I heard it was a particularly cold March and now April too. We have to reckon with frost for a long time to come at nights. and pretty cold wind from east

It's snowing again. The nest is white. This cold front will stay for a long time because it is a high pressure area
Much too cold for March! We have night frosts and during the day it is around 5 ° .. throughout Europe up to our black storks in Moldova and the Ukraine. And the wind continues to come from the north.. sometimes turns slightly to the west. It is cold.

Good Morning
it's still winter. Yesterday I saw on the news that there has been heavy snowfall across the Balkans. An unexpected onset of winter.

by Baiba_K: Labvakar!
Nedaudz atkāpe konkrēti no šīs ligzdas, bet šodien netālu no Līgatnes (netālu no Siguldas - tajā apvidū bija iepriekšējā tiešraides kameras ligzda) redzēju lidojam melno stārķi.
Good evening!
I deviated a little from this particular nest, but today I saw a black stork flying near Līgatne (near Sigulda - there was a previous live camera nest in that area). The view of the fir trees around Sigulda and Turaida is terrible - many of them are dead due to bark beetles, which was also observed around the nest of the live camera But a stork is staying there and hopes to successfully raise babies. But maybe he was just flying by. Good luck finding a good nest site!
