There was a big trunk where the eagle went after dropping down eggs ...

the female came to the nest tree but not into the nest. Maybe it's already too late for her, or she's not interested enough in the male. Who knows. maybe they're just getting to know each other. That would be nice, then with luck we'd have a couple next year.
It is of course still possible to breed successfully. :D

8:14 he has collected moss from the branch and brought it to the nest

8:23 he jumps on the left branch and is now out of sight. It sounds like he take off

Even if the female is not going to breed this year(and that is not that bad, because late chicks have lower chance to survive) she may return here next season.

I would say, before breeding, he would need a female. A female showed up.. nothing more. No mating, nothing. She only has visit the nest tree.
