I was surprised that the stream description says that no topic has been opened yet...
But here you are! Thank you for 'looking after' the nest!

Thank you Polly! At least we definitely know that the pair is back, has met and rebonded, both hybrid pairs (the visitors, Taavi and Tiiu) were seen with yummy frogs,still, why aren't they beginning with nestauration right here - one or the other pair? Maybe the marten smell was too fresh???? I have no idea. Other attractive nesting grounds in the vicinity? Who knows.
(Is it just me who has the impression that this season is somehow different for many birds and places that we usually watch? Just think about Matsalu. How come that such an attractive territory has no owner? And others are waiting desperately for their Black Storks and Ospreys, and adult WTEs suddenly disappear in Durbe. Eggs are lost here and there (Kemeru, Golden Eagle). It could well be that this is absolutely normal, and we were just lucky in the past years.)

Let's wait another week.
I only observe the migration superficially but my gut feeling says that there would have been another 1 - 2 weeks for the return journey.
I suspect just a few days and we'll know more.
Maybe the returnees themselves aren't ready yet.
