I don't know if I'm allowed to post this here, if not, please excuse me.
I could just explode and won't comment any further because I'm not feeling myself at the moment...

Eurasian Crane - 2023

Ahja F - 2021 -
The Common Crane "Ahja F" is the female of a nesting pair of cranes on the edge of Ahja village, marked in 2020. She lost her partner and one of her two offspring in late August 2022 due to a predator attack. The female returned alone from Ethiopia in the spring of 2023, but a new pair of cranes had taken over the territory. The old female was attacked by them but remained in the area, and in June, she successfully found a new male partner with whom she stayed in the territory until autumn. The crane pair did not nest in 2023. This autumn of 2023, we will find out if finding a new partner also means changes in their usual migration route

Ahjapoeg2 2020 - 2020 -

Savitamme F ----

Their 2022 nesting attempt failed, possibly due to an unsuccessful new nesting site choice. During the autumn migration of 2022, they separated; the male wintered in Poland, and the female in Algeria near the Moroccan border. In the spring of 2023, both arrived with new partners; the female stayed in the old territory, while the male spent the summer with his new partner in Võhmuta manor Park. Both failed to nest. However, in the autumn of 2023, they reunited in the Vajangu crane gathering and migrated together

Soits 1 - 2018 -
Common Crane named “Soits 1” was caught by Aivar Leito, Uko Bleive and Ivar Ojaste on July, 3th 2018 close by Soitsjärv Lake near village Elistvere, Jõgeva county, eastern Estonia. In crane brood were two chicks, also the sibling was caught and named “Soits 2”. Both siblings were colour-ringed and tagged with OrniTrack-L40 – leg-mount solar powered GPS-GSM tracker for cranes using ELSA rings for the colour code white-yellow-white. The individual colour-code on the right leg of the crane “Soits 1” is black-green-blue. The crane was named by nesting site at Soitsjärv Lake. This breeding territory has been occupied probably by the same crane pair during last ten years. Five of our satellite cranes, named “Juula” (2010), “Juula 2” (2012), “Ivar” (2016), “Aivar” and “Uko” (both from 2017) originate from this breeding territory.
