Big Bear

The EAGLE TIMES | December 2021

Happy Happy Birthday!!
Friends of Big Bear Valley

20 years ago, Pat Klous and Roman Silberfeld founded Friends of Fawnskin in their back yard

When the County of San Bernardino announced a new housing development was about to be approved and built in Fawnskin with no environmental analysis, Pat and Roman invited their Fawnskin neighbors over to hear more about it...and 75 people showed up!

Big Bear

Shadow delivers an unusual prey! his fish has another fish in its mouth! Then he saw Jackie flying around. So he was in a great hurry to eat his fish. He made it, dinner was over and Jackie came home with a branch. She looked for the fish

😮 both fishes are still alive
Image

Jackie came in with a branch- the fishies are gone

R3 hatched but lived only four hours. It was too weak.

Sad to report that the 3rd eagle chick did not survive the night. Though sad, this was not unexpected as it was at a big disadvantage hatching out several days later than its siblings and was unable to compete with their larger size and strength. Survival of the fittest.

The first egg must be non-viable(42 days passed), but the second one still has a chance.

Webster, Tx: Pecos and Brazos are bonking:
