Snowshoe hare...

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

looks like a kitten to me the ears don't look right for a rabbit nor do the shape of the legs. if it was a wild cat maybe it was dead when he found it I would think that wild cats momma would have gone after Kleve. this will keep us guessing. Anyone have a clearer picture of it? it looks so cute

August 14

Good morning! :hi:
Around 5.30 I heard several LSE calls.

I agree, IF it was lynx/ wild cat, it must be newborn and probably dead /abandoned already.

It seems like it would be such a rare thing that it is odd to show up in front of us, but I do not know what to think.

The usual time of year for Lynx to give birth is May...

good morning :hi:
I think it's a rabbit. we look at the belly, his head hanging forward, our way
He is with the beak holding in the neck, by the eagle ( in the circle )

Since a Teddy bear (or a koala) is very unlikely....
a rabbit does seem the most likely of the other preys.

If it is an arctic hare, like aita wrote, they have 2-3 litters a year - so it is most likely that is a small one from the last litter .....

No, I think no one has seen him today. I went through the pontu pics from the early morning hours, there was also no one on the nest.

I agree, I looked some pictures in the internet and it looks like some baby rabbits have very small/ not well-developed ears when they are just born. (I just wrote about it to other topic too.)

The last time I saw him on sunday.
In any case it's eerie silent today. Not only our beloved eagles are not hearable, the whole forest seems to be liveless today.

I didn,t see Kalev or his parents today and nothing to hear. I wonder Eha has found him?
A light wind swept over the corn, and all nature laughed in the sunshine.
