Photo from the UK osprey cam shared by Macdoum, above.
Not another duck-in-a-raptor-nest situation! She was busy rearranging the nest materials & generally getting comfortable with what she thought would be a splendid place to hatch ducklings.

But then-- the rightful owner came home & frightened the mallard hen away. I missed getting the duck leaving.

Osprey continued working in its nest, then preened a little, then just surveyed its territory. I wish there were sound with this cam.
After a while, the osprey left again.

Thanks to Macdoum for the link to this Manton Bay nest.
Osprey nest in UK high above a lake with a mallard below on the water. (If only it had sound . . .) The bird is busy working on the nest.

Honey Buzzards are originally migratory birds in Taiwan. They still are. Some of them become resident birds lately. I want to introduce another bird which becomes resident in Taiwan within 10 years.
Black-winged Kites are not migratory birds in most places. We don't how they came to Taiwan and some of them decided to stay. But the number is still minor in Taiwan. I guess there are no more then 200 resident here. We declare it's "the most beautiful raptor" in Taiwan.

Thanks to DWML's pics.
