that sounded like a call of a young eagle, as if it didn't quite know how to call properly yet.. it was partly clucking and did not sound 'mature'.

Yes today the wind is blowing.

Fleur you magically sneaked in and beat me. For a while there was a crow calling -- now it is just the wind.

the wind has turned the plants away so that the blue thing is clearly visible again now that mostly cloudy. this time it reminds me most of a screw driver but i think it is just an illusion: one straw is in front of the BT (Blue Thing) so that it looks like the pin of a screw driver. (or what-ever-the metal-is-called in a srew driver).
i zoomed the BT a little and added it on the lower right corner.


there are some sunny spells and then the BT is not so clearly seen as it's in a shadow. the sun is so low in the sky even though it is almost noon.

Hi ame, it could very well be a screw driver and it is rather new, it was not there on previous photos.

there has been a blue something in the picture in the same place all the time since the camera bent down, so it must be the same object all the time. we have just been guessing what it could be. our member netmaster who is one of the few persons who has visited the island, putting up the camera etc, suggested that it might be a piece of tape, maybe electrician's insulating tape. a cigarret lighter is also possible since it might swim (=float) by itself to the island. -i myself don't think that it really is a screwdriver, though it looked like a screwdriver today.

i wish that the repair team will get to the island soon and then hopefully we shall hear what the BT was.
and hopefully they will take it away from the island.

Hello ...

Well, soon we have geology cam to study rock movement on island of the west Estonia ...

Camera is attached to the side of the 50mm aluminium tube. On the top we did build a broom like thing from branches to be uncomfortable to sit there for birds. Those branches have probably rotten away by now. Apparently, some metal rods must be installed there. For the same reason, top of the solar panels already look like prison fence.
Tilted like that can be very bad for the camera as well. Opening for the cable is in the back side of the body, and directed face down, mean that this partly open hole is exposed and can catch water or snow.
Solar controller need to be replaced again, because as we saw in last winter, camera will be off most of the days again. The old one, used in all previous years was more sophisticated and did manage energy reserves much better

Excuse me, want to ask now when is please soon. This year or until the next . The winter is already at the door and the weather conditions are probably getting more worse with every week.
There is still a chance that this cam will work again in this year?
Wait so patiently, but would like to ask again . Miss those cam so much

-earlier it looked like a doughnut to me. why does it always remind me of something edible?
