Today I noticed two eaglet's visits.
First one in the early afternoon (12:20 - 12:31)

and second in the evening (18:35 - 18:49)

Eaglet looked hungry, searched for leftovers and screamed for food.
I wonder if they are able to hunt for their own already.

Friday the 8th August
:hi:
17:55 DT
The cam still works and an eaglet is sitting in the right down corner, I can see the toes and the beak and once in a while also the body of it. Nothing edible seems to lie on the nest. No autumn yellow leaves either.

18:00 DT
The eaglet is ripping of something with her/his beak in the mother's corner. It must be the girl eaglet, she looks so big ...

I wonder if they would come to the nest still in case they could hunt theirselves ...?

WTE Denmark
Today I saw eaglets twice.
Unfortunately I can't tell the difference between eaglets, so I don't know which of them visited the nest.
First visit at 11:46. Eaglet was searching for leftovers and lying.
Image
At 12:07parent flew in with the prey(fish).
Eaglet mantled the prey, but didn't started eating.
Image
He/she was watching the sky.
Image
I haven't seen whole bird, which was flying around, only a part of a wing or a shadow of the big bird. It could be the sibling.
At 12:23 eaglet ate few morsels and moved the fish to the right corner.
Image

Image
And again was watching the sky.
Image
At 13:05 eaglet finaly started to eat and finished the fish.
Image
14:47 Eaglet flew away
Image
To be continued

Second visit
I didn't watch the cam between 16:00 and 18:00, but I read on FB, that one eaglet(male) flew in the nest after 17:00 and was eating something.
At 17:45 second eaglet(female) arrived, attacked sibling and chased him away.
When I opened the cam eaglet was just eating.
Image
Then she inspected the nest, got some rest and at 18:15 flew on branch next to the cam.

Image

Image
At 18:28 she flew down to the nest and at once flew away.

I think, too, that it is the boy eaglet, he usually lies down right there ...
They are very home friendly, they come to the nest continuously and long after their fledging.

Last days the nest was often visited. Maybe it turned out that hunting isn't too easy? Fortunately parents will still take care and support eaglets by some time.

I found this information at http://pandion.dof.dk/artikel/rovfugle- ... -danskerne : "The camera turns off this week, as the eagles now only very rarely staying in the nest."
Camera was online in the morning, now it is offline. So it's time to say: goodbye eaglets, fly free and always have full crops.
Thank you all for reports and see you next year

Hello :hi:

As there exists already an own topic for the Danish WtE-nest for 2015
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=745

... and for WtEs in Norway
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=131

... and as posts about both nests were spread in "Stories and News" topic and "Links to other WtE cams" I moved the posts in the respective topics.
I hope I got all in the right places, if not - please let me know.
