HANG ON!! There's a Stewards' Enquiry.
We need your help.
After several hours of studying all the camera angles and zooms, we now think that this morning's 'dogfish' may be a large salmon, possibly the left-over remains of an otter kill?
Know any anglers? What do you think?

Blue 493, Tegid's chick

August 11

Mrs G and Aran had visitors yesterday, with three intruding ospreys over the Glaslyn nest around midday. One of the ospreys landed on the perch, giving us the chance to identify it and we were surprised to learn it was one of this years chicks from the Friends of the Ospreys BM nest, which is not that far away as the osprey flies. Blue 493 is a male chick and was obviously exploring the area for future reference. Mrs G was quick to send 493 back on his way home. Perhaps we will see him again in two years time?

Last seen: Telyn 21/8 at 12pm - Ystwyth 24/8 at 9:26

Dysynni wakes up to his 99th Dyfi sunrise this morning. This will now make him the second oldest (out of 24) Dyfi offspring to migrate. Fascinating to ponder what makes some of these birds go as early as 81 days while others stay around for another three weeks... Berthyn (2019) holds the record of oldest youngster to migrate from this nest of 101.4 days.

Dysynni has migrated. Idris is filling his reserves with fish remains for the great journey south.

Just finishing off some of the smaller jobs before we open next Monday - 14th March. Thank you for all the stunning calligraphy in the centre, Rachel!
New cameras and dual-microphone installation has gone well this week, the scaffolding will come down on Sunday and testing will take place next week. The Live Streaming should be up for you as soon as we've finished testing everything.

We just can't wait to open again on Monday and start a new season

Telyn has an injury to her right foot.
We don't think it's serious, we see these type of injuries quite often - these high resolution cameras pick details out that have hitherto gone unnoticed.
Cold northerly winds have been making migration difficult this week, let's hope we see Idris over the weekend so that Telyn can rest her foot for a bit.

Z2/Aeron returned to the Friends of the Ospreys Pont Croesor nest yesterday at 17.32. Great to see him back in the Glaslyn Valley.
