According to the article, Bob McCurley of Angus and Dundee Bird Club said that more than 200 White-tailed Eagle sightings have been recorded in 2013.

According to Thomas Brandt, chief scientist of the local Ecological Protection Center, disturbances by low flying helicopters and hot air balloons caused the WtE nesting failure in 2013.
